Robert Piecenski Obituary

Robert Joseph Piecenski, age 75, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 1, 1950, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for over four years during the Vietnam War. His dedication, strength, and quiet perseverance were hallmarks of his life, long after his time in service.
Bob was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Susan Piecenski (née Ahrens). Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the smell of a good fish fry. Bob loved fishing-especially on his own property-and cleaning the day's catch was always a family affair. Even as he faced the challenges of Parkinson's disease, Bob never let it keep him from filleting a fish or riding his tractor (though you might want to keep a safe distance when he did!).
He had a passion for cooking and could always be found helping prepare big family meals. Yet, what he cherished most was watching his family gathered around the table-his greatest joy was seeing those he loved together.
A loyal Cleveland sports fan, Robert always had an opinion about the Browns, shared with his signature mix of humor and heart. Above all, he was a proud grandfather who rarely missed a grandchild's sporting event and was never without chocolates in his pocket for them. His grandchildren adored him as much as he adored them. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Susan, his children Anthony ( Rachel ) Piecenski, Bobby Piecenski (Alexa Stefanko), and Anna Piecenski (Eric Simpson); and his cherished grandchildren Lillian, Theodore, Madalyn, Julian, Olivia, and Carson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy (née Zmarzly) Piecenski, his brother Richard, and his sister Diane.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, Ohio 44024. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 401 North St., Chardon, Ohio 44024.
Bob will be remembered for his kind heart and the love he poured into his family. His presence will be deeply missed but forever felt in the laughter and love he leaves behind.
Arrangements are entrusted to Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.burrservice.com.
