Robert Pilny Obituary
Born Feb. 28, 1954, in Cleveland, he had lived in Concord before moving to Chardon 23 years ago.
Robert worked as a machinist for Towmotor, in both Ohio and Illinois, then worked as a shipwright at Tartan Yacht. After his retirement, Robert worked at Home Depot.
He was a guitar luthier and loved fishing, his 4-wheeler and spending time at his hand-built cabin in the woods. Robert had many beloved friends from the Concord Tavern and his days on Melridge Drive.
Robert was the beloved husband of Kathleen F. (nee Cebuly) Pilny; loving father of Coreen D. (nee Pilny) (Jason) Lundquist; son of Laureen (nee Donelon) Pilny; cherished grandfather of Jackson, Asher and Calvin Lundquist; brother of James Pilny and Barbara Ritzu; and uncle of Taylor Lixey, John Cebuly, Laura Markell and Jeffrey Pilny.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Pilny.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), Mentor, with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 N. State St., Painesville. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary Cemetery in Painesville.

So sorry for your loss. I was Bob's supervisor at The Home Depot in Chardon until he retired. He was a great guy to work with...never a dull moment and never a project he couldn't handle. I am grateful that our paths crossed. May God give you comfort in knowing he is at peace.
