Bob was born on June 28, 1936, to David and Maggie Pipes in Concord, Texas. Bob loved to fly, playing the guitar and listening to the sounds of Sunny James and others; he enjoyed fishing and loved cooking for his family especially Bar-b-queing for them outside. He enjoyed tinkering with things and fixing just about anything he could get his hands on. Bob liked sports, football and especially track and field at Sam Houston State University. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Andrews and a Member of the Masonic Lodge. Bob enjoyed many things but the greatest love of his life was his family.
