Robert Print Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMahon - Coyne - Vitantonio Funeral Home - Mentor on Sep. 28, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Robert "Bob" Print, age 81, a longtime resident of Timberlake, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Cleveland Clinic on September 28, 2025. He was born on January 16, 1944, in Euclid, Ohio, to the late Earl and Anne Print (née Markinac).

Bob was the devoted husband of June M. Print (née Boudreau), and the proud father of Shane (Melissa) Print and Josh Print. He was the beloved brother of Earl (Jeanette) Print, and the dear brother-in-law of Jeannette Boudreau and Chet Boudreau. He was also a cherished uncle to Kristin, Craig, Keith, Aaron, Ethan, and Jessica.

A graduate of St. Joseph High School, Class of 1962, Bob was a standout athlete who excelled in football, basketball, and wrestling. He continued his football career at the University of Dayton, which opened the door to his time in professional football.

Bob's athletic accomplishments were many. He played professional football for the San Diego Chargers (NFL), the Edmonton Eskimos (CFL), and had brief stints with both the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns. Sports remained a lifelong passion for him, and he found tremendous joy in watching his sons compete-especially in hockey.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Bob was a man of varied interests and talents. He was an avid golfer and once served as president of the St. Clair Golf Association's traveling league. He loved being on the water-boating, water-skiing, fishing, and tubing with the kids. A gifted landscaper and handyman, he took pride in working on his home and yard and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He could build or fix just about anything.

Bob found his greatest happiness vacationing with June and close friends in sunny destinations-he never was a fan of the cold. Known for his honesty, directness, and unique sense of humor, Bob touched countless lives with his loyalty, strength of character, and straightforward charm. He would always "tell it like it is."

He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, loyal brother, cherished uncle, and dear friend. His presence will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 6, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 7, at 10:00 AM at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake, with interment to follow at All Souls Cemetery.

The family kindly requests donations be made in Bob's memory to the American Heart Association. To share memories or offer condolences, please visit the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home website.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bob and those he loved. I was privileged to spend time with him in the late 60s when I dated Bob Bush while I was at Kent State. Bob used to come as a buddy to B. Bush and he was always smiling, fun, kind and open to new people. I was lucky to keep hearing about him through Earl and Jeanette and continued to be impressed on how he and his wife fought together to live a full life during his many health challenges. The miracles of science supported by human tenacity and love served to support Bob through an exciting life.

I can attest to his love of working on his home at 7 AM for it felt like 3 summers in a row as he added a garage, a roof, and an addition. He will be missed.
