Robert Morgan 'Bob' Raines of Trenton, Ill., born September 6, 1949, passed away at the age of 76, on November 14, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

He is survived by his wife Linda 'Lin' Moore Raines; son Chad (Erinn), stepson Todd (Julie) Stone; grandchildren: Payton Stone, Gabrielle Stone, and Parker Raines; siblings: Jack (Fara), Mike (Janet), Sandy (Tommy), and Pat; brother- and sisters-in-law Wilbur (Tony) Moore, Paula and Gene Redman, Jim Moore and Barbara Adams, Joyce and Gary Zerusen; cousin Joanne (Oscar); many nieces and nephews; and special friends: Dan Groeschen, Steve Tucker, and Jerry and Janet Compton.

Bob graduated high school in Beaumont, Texas, and went on to graduate from the United States Air Force Academy. After graduating from the Academy, he trained for and became a Helicopter Pilot and served our country for 25 years, traveling all over the US and foreign countries. Bob retired with the rank of Colonel. He was a true patriot and loved this country. He loved working his farm, fishing, and hunting at his farm and in his beloved state of Texas. He was a proud native of the Great State of Texas.

Bob was an incredibly active man, having run eight marathons, several kayak races (one being 340 miles), bicycle races in several states, and a half Iron Man triathlon.

Bob was a good friend to many and helped so many during his Air Force career and his life as a civilian. There are no arrangements planned at this time but a celebration of life to follow.

Bob will be missed by so many; but especially his wife and family. A life well-lived, just ended too soon.

Rest in peace, Bob.
