Robert Ramsay, Jr. Obituary
Robert T. Ramsay, Jr, of Middleboro passed away peacefully in his home on March 16, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Attleboro, Bob grew up in Taunton. As a youth, he was a member of the King David Masonic Lodge and achieved the rank of Chevalier. Bob graduated from Taunton High School and graduated from Culinary Institute of America. Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed at Massachusetts Institute of Technology for over 40 years. Most of his tenure, he worked as a facilities manager.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed coaching baseball for Middleboro Little League. He was the head coach for the Police and Fire team for over 20 years and coached many All-Star teams. Bob was an avid bowler and held roles as President and Treasurer of the American Bowling League in Raynham. He enjoyed participating in the golf league at Lakeville Country Club, where he later became a member.
Bob was an active and devoted member of the Central United Methodist Church serving as Lay Leader, organizer and chef of many church suppers, a participant in the church choir, and numerous other roles. He was an original member of "Still Working," the traveling, Christian singing group. However, Bob's greatest passion was his family and following the activities of his beloved grandchildren. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Bob will be missed tremendously by all who were blessed to have known him.
Bob was the loving husband of Susan (Spataro) Ramsay for 49 years; father of Alison Ramsay and her companion, Eric Wescott; Andrew Ramsay and his wife, Erin Ramsay; Anna Ramsay and her companion, Dawson Dessources; and Allen Ramsay and his companion, Meagan Segreve. Bob was a devoted grandfather to Prescott, Kennedy, Lincoln, Ramsay, and Elle. He was also the beloved brother of Betty Lou Hackett and Linda Pearson.
A wake will be held on April 5th from 9 – 11 am at O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street in Middleboro with a funeral to follow at 11:30 am at the Central United Methodist Church, 14 School Street in Middleboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to Central United Methodist Church, 14 School Street, Middleboro, Ma 02346.

So sorry to hear this news. I remember Bob, Linda, and Betty Lou when we were all growing up together on Anawan Street in Taunton. Simpler times when children played outdoors together. Sending much love to all the family, especially Linda, Rich, Ricky and Bethany.
