Beloved husband for 55 years of the late Barbara K. (Kicielinski) Ranker; loving father of Pamela Kanai (Brian) and Marcia Ranker; grandfather of April Kanai; brother of Nancy Zunic (Douglas) and John Suhr; uncle of Caitlin Zunic, Robert Suhr and the late Jessica Suhr.
Bob was a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) for more than 30 years and loved traveling the country to enjoy different roller coasters. He served 4 years in the US Air Force and then went on to become a letter carrier for the USPS for over 20 years.
Family will welcome friends on Monday, May 5 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 388 Center Ave., West View, PA 15229. Visitors are encouraged to wear their favorite amusement park shirts to the visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa of Avila Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 1000 Avila Court, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to American Coaster Enthusiasts Preservation Fund, www.aceonline.org/page/preservation or Special Olympics, www.specialolympics.org.
