Survived by his children, Robert K. (Nancy) Rapka and Tammy (Richard) Iwinski; four grandchildren, Bobby (Kristi) Rapka, Thomas Rapka, Susan (Eric) Howland and Matthew Iwinski; five great-grandchildren, Cameron Howland, Evan Howland, Lilly Howland, Abbey Rapka and Vinnie Rapka; brother, Frank Rapka. Numerous niece and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Rapka; son Ricky Rapka and his sister May Rapka.
Robert was a very loving and caring husband and father who was loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved to go fishing, even in the rain, which two out of three times it would rain. Robert liked to go to the casino, which he didn't care if he won or lost, yes, he wanted to win but he went for the fun. Robert lived a very happy life surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services for Robert will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 12:00pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
