Robert Leslie Reid, 83, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born in Midland, MI to the late Warren and Ruth (Slocum) Reid on September 25, 1942. He married Betty Loretta Letts on March 27, 1965 in Midland, MI. and they shared fifty-one loving years together till she preceded him in death on September 3, 2016.

Bob found joy in singing at church, woodworking, and bowling. Better known as "Cowboy Bob" at Midland Hospital, he brightened the halls with his kindness, often sharing his homemade brownies and Kit Kats with staff and patients. He was a dedicated volunteer, especially known for making and delivering popcorn and he treasured the friendships he made there. He cherished Friday night card games with his dear friends Garey and Paula Grice.

Bob is survived by his children; Tammy (Doug) Gowing, Todd (Michelle) Reid, Tyler (Rachel) Reid, daughter in-law Marie Reid, grandchildren; Casi (Justin) Frost, Brandon (Brittany) Gowing, Ali (Nate) Ryder, Zachary (Tori) Reid, Mackenzie (Zac) Moyer, Kaitlyn (Michael) Howson, Brianna (Brennon) Meinhold, Carrigan (Jay) Gunsell, Brooklen Reid, Piper Reid, Halle Reid, 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Betty and his son Travis as well as his great grandson Axel Jenkins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Meridian Church of God with Pastor Kevin Tippin officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Midland Memorial Gardens at a later date.

In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family in his honor.
