Robert "Preston" Reynolds, 74, of Swartz, passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Preston was born on January 11, 1951, in Bastrop, LA to Claude and Maggie Sue Reynolds. After graduating from Bastrop High School in 1969, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Preston met the love of his life, Patsy Andrews Reynolds. Together they built a wonderful life and marriage. Preston worked in lumber sales for over forty years retiring from The Home Depot in 2021.
Preston was a devoted husband, daddy and pappy who enjoyed traveling, hunting, and spending time with his family. His quiet strength, steady guidance, and sense of humor will be dearly missed. A member of Foundry Methodist Church in Sterlington, LA. Preston found strength, comfort, and purpose in his relationship with his savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patsy Andrews Reynolds, his children, April Reynolds Gomez and her husband, Darren and Cade Reynolds and his wife, Jessica; three grandchildren, Tori Gomez, Maggie Gomez and Preston Reynolds; many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law, mother and father-in-law and blood brother, Lee Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Jane Tucker and Susie Reynolds and nephew, John Reynolds.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 27, at 11:30 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Home, 600 Hwy 139, Monroe, LA with military honors following at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
