Robert M. Rose

Robert Matthew Rose, 34, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2026.

Robby was born in Binghamton, New York, and moved to Hampden, Massachusetts, before entering grade school. He was raised by his proud parents, Barbara and Mark Rose, and his big brother Benny.

He graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School in 2010 and attended Asnuntuck Community college to study welding. He was later employed at TechFab, where he took great pride in his craftsmanship and work ethic.

Robby was an artist and motocross racer at heart. Aside from his passion for painting and motocross, he was a standout athlete in his youth, an absolute force throughout peewee football years as a running back and even earned a spot on the varsity wrestling team during his freshman year. He was a true warrior who loved his family deeply and was known as a loyal and dependable friend.

He enjoyed many simple pleasures, including a good cigar, hiking with his closest friends, good old-fashioned hard work and chores, creating and listening to music, making art, reading a good book, and wearing his favorite comfy boots.

Rob's compassion for others defined his character. He had a heart of gold and never held a grudge. He never simply quoted a movie – he embodied the character, delivering each line with uncanny accuracy and impeccable timing. A gifted artist and writer, his creativity and presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His caring spirit and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Michael's Church, Maple Street, East Longmeadow, followed by a Celebration of Life from 12 Noon – 2:30 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA.
