Robert H. "Bob" "Buff" Rutan, 74, of Wilson Borough, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at his home.
Born November 16, 1948, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Harold and Eleanor (Robinson) Rutan.
He and his wife, Jill (Dalrymple) Rutan, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on November 16, 2022.
Robert graduated from Wilson Area High School class of 1966.
He was an electrician for I.B.E.W. 367-102 for many years.
He was a former member of the Corvette Club and enjoyed car shows and working on his 1933 Plymouth.
Robert was a member of Easton Lodge 152, F & AM; Hugh de Payens Commandery No. 19, Knights Templar; and Scottish Rite Cathedral, Allentown.
In addition to his wife, Jill, he is survived by a son, Scott Rutan and his wife Amy, of Jim Thorpe; a daughter, Tammy Anderson and her husband Joe, of Morrisville, NC; a granddaughter, Skylar Rutan, of Wilson Borough; a grandson, Niko Anderson, of Morrisville, NC; two brothers, Jay Rutan and his wife Sue, of Bucks County, and Richard Rutan and his wife Liz, of Williams Township; many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5pm on Saturday, August 19th in Wilson Democratic Association "The Dems", 1543 Spruce Street, Wilson Borough. The Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough is charge of arrangements. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
