Robert George Sadorf passed away in his home surrounded by his family on November 8, 2023, in Sierra Vista.
Bob was born on July 29, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI to Frank and Catherine Sadorf. He grew up in Milwaukee with his sister, Ruth, and attended various schools in the city. He met his beloved wife of sixty-six years, Marilyn Repinski, in 1956. They married in 1957. Together they lived a full life which included social justice reform and civil rights marches in the 1960s, caring for thirty foster babies, and helping couples prepare for marriage.
Bob and Marilyn have six cherished children: Leonard (Christine), Paul (Jasmine), Mary (Cal), David (Melissa), Monica, and Therese; twelve precious grandchildren; twelve adored great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces and nephews. They moved their family to sunny Arizona in 1978.
Bob earned degrees from Marquette University, Cardinal Stritch University, and the University of Arizona. He spent his professional career in education, working as a teacher, principal, and administrator.
Bob was ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church in 1975 in Milwaukee. He chose a life of service to the Lord. He loved weekly mass, as well as performing baptisms and weddings, and was present for many at the end of life. His passion for service to others was evident in all he did.
Bob loved his family, God, and the great outdoors in Arizona. He was an avid hiker. He loved traveling with Marilyn both in the United States and abroad. He was a great friend to many. Bob was a self-proclaimed "baby hog" and listed his favorite pastime as holding his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Sierra Vista on December 16, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

We had the privilege of working with Bob and Marilyn on Marriage Preparation Programs in Milwaukee. Bob would often sit and work on a crochet project during presentations to the engaged couples. He'd ask the couples if they were surprised that he crocheted since it was usually an activity for females. Then he would reflect on the deleterious effect of strictly adhering to male/female stereotypes within marriage. After one of the Marriage Preparation Programs, he presented us with a beautiful southwest-pattern queen-size afghan. The afghan has sat on our bed during winter months for the past 45 years, keeping us toasty warm. We send our sincere sympathy to the Sadorf Family with gratitude for many fond memories.
