Robert P. Schesvold

Robert P. Schesvold, (94), of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on May 5, 2023 in North Dakota. Robert was born to Peter and Bertha Schesvold on July 25, 1928, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. He grew up on the family farm near Rice Lake. Robert became a minister after attending Trinity Seminary in Chicago and Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. He married his wife, Grace, from Newell, Iowa in 1954. After pastoring for a number of years, he went on to obtain a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of South Dakota. Robert's career included being a church minister, a college professor, and starting his own home and commercial painting business. Robert is survived by his children Jane Schesvold, Joy Nasseff (husband Tim and grandson Matthew Nasseff), Doug Schesvold, and Bruce Schesvold, and his brother Joe Schesvold. Preceded in death by parents Peter and Bertha Schesvold, wife Grace Schesvold (Jorgensen), and brothers Reuben Schesvold and Norman Schesvold. Robert and his wife Grace were always thinking about their family by arranging many memorable activities for their children, which included taking a vacation trip every summer. They were conscientious about raising their children according to good Christian values. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30PM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
