Robert Lynn "Bob" Scoles

Scoles - Robert "Bob" Lynn Scoles, age 89, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on February 16, 2025, at Macclenny Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Bob was born in Glen St. Mary, Florida on December 14, 1935, to the late Claude Scoles and Mae Prevatt Scoles. He was a lifelong resident of Baker County and a graduate of Glen St. Mary High School. Shortly after school, Bob joined the United States Army where he proudly served our country for 2 years during the Korean War and continued his reserve duties for another 4 years. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Bob started his longtime career at Flav-O-Rich, an Ice Cream Company. Bob dedicated over 40 years as a Supervisor before his retirement. He always enjoyed working and loved the relationships and friendships he cultivated throughout the years. He also enjoyed being outdoors. Bob loved farming, tending to his cows, and gardening. He was quiet, reserved, humble, and kind. Bob was certainly a treasure to his family and friends and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Dorothy Mae Scoles; stepdaughter, Judy M. Kirk King; brother, Wendal Scoles; and sister, Joann Younger.
Bob is survived by his loving grandchildren, Kirk (Dixie Thompson) Miracle, Sr., Kenneth Miracle, and Lisa (Dwight) Jones; great grandchildren, Kirk (Lasondra) Miracle, Jr. and Christopher Miracle; nephews, Craig Younger and Danny Younger; niece, Shirley Johnson along with several extended family members and friends.
A Graveside Celebration of Bob's Life will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11:00 am at Taylor Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Dorothy.
