Robert (Bob) F Seitz of Holland, MI went to his heavenly home on December 3, 2024. Bob was born to Frank and Theresa Seitz in Chicago, IL on November 15, 1931. He was a wonderful husband of 68 years to Barbara and loved to tell the story of how they met (he went home and told his mom "I met the girl I am going to marry.") Bob and Barbara raised 4 children, spending vacations sailing on Lake Michigan. He was an engineer, avid sailor, furniture maker, animal lover, and, most importantly, a terrific husband, father, and person. He loved music and would sing random bits of songs from his youth, amusing and amazing all (how does one remember all those songs?!) Bob was a US Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Buckle), his children Patricia Molnar (late Bret), Jeanne Markell, Anthony Seitz, and Annika Seitz, his grandchildren Samantha Molnar, Daniel Molnar, Quinn Seitz, Scarlet Seitz, and Mila Seitz, his brother Richard Seitz, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. His parents, and sisters Gertude Thornton, Martha Loebach, and Frances Wolf preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on December 13 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 480 152nd St, Holland, MI. Visitation with the family will be an hour before Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bob's memory to be made to Hospice of Holland, (270 Hoover Blvd, Holland, MI, 49423) hollandhospice.org, Our Lady of the Lake (480 152nd St. Holland, MI 49424) OLL.org, or a favorite charity of your choice. Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
