Robert Seitzinger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Givnish Funeral Home - Cinnaminson from Dec. 16, 2021 to Jan. 4, 2022.
Robert William Seitzinger passed away peacefully on Saturday Dec 4, 2021, at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ surrounded by his family. Born in Camden, NJ to Concetta (Siville) and Gerald Seitzinger, Rob was 57 years old. He recently lived in Marlton for the past year and a half, formerly was a resident of Cape May Court House for 26 years with his wife and three children, and grew up in Cinnaminson, NJ with his parents, two brothers Jerry and Craig, and relatives of the Siville and Seitzinger families.
Beloved husband of 24 years to Julianne (Lafata) Seitzinger (deceased). Loving father of Jillian (Brandon), Caroline (Nathan), and Michael. Brother of Gerald Jr. (Kim) and Craig (Jean). Uncle of Jordan, Anika, Micah, Peyton, Daniel, Ellery and Lokri.
Rob attended Cinnaminson High School where he excelled in baseball and soccer and went on to college at Shippensburg University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Journalism. In his fraternity, Pi Lambda Phi or "Pi Lam", he was a founding father and formed some of his closest friendships within his brotherhood. He became a sports writer in the Jersey shore area, later becoming the managing editor of multiple newspapers in Cape May and Atlantic Counties. Rob was happiest when helping others and made volunteering, serving, and giving a priority in his life. He founded and directed the East Coast Freedom Fighters nonprofit organization where he raised funds to make and send care packages to active soldiers. Rob found community in various groups at the Lighthouse Church and served on their CURE team, cooking and serving meals.
He loved living at the shore, enjoying the ocean with frequent beach days with his wife and kids or walking the dogs at sunset. When he wasn't at the beach, Rob could be found at local festivals, walking the boardwalk, and supporting his kids in their latest endeavors. His passion for cooking and food was known and loved by the many friends and family who had the pleasure of enjoying a meal he made. He made a point to always be present in the lives of his children by attending as many swim meets, softball games, musicals, school events and concerts as possible. Rob was known by many people for many things whether it be coach, boss, brother, dad or son. He will be remembered for his giving spirit and larger-than-life personality, but will be missed for so much more.
Rob's celebration of life with family and friends will be held Saturday, January 15th, 2022 from 10am-12pm with a reception to follow from 12pm-2pm at The Lighthouse Church, 1248 Route 9 South, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
In addition to this service, a memorial mass will also be arranged at a date to be determined soon.

Rob´s love of swimming was evident in the dedicated coverage he gave to a fledgling high school program in North Wildwood. He always offered a helping hand. Will miss you brother.
