Robert W. "Bob" Smith, 76, passed away and was promoted to Heaven to be with the Lord. He was born June 9, 1949, in Cedar City, Utah, to James Carlyle and Annette Smith.

Bob grew up in Cedar with his two brothers, spending his youth hunting and playing baseball. After graduating from Cedar High School, he served proudly in the U.S. Navy. Following his service, he returned to Cedar City to attend SUSC earning a degree in Computer Science.

Bob married Teresa Judd, and together they had a daughter, Kymberly Judd. He later built a career in the healthcare industry in computer programming, living in California, Colorado, and Arizona, and traveling extensively for work, including to London and China. After retirement, Bob returned to Cedar City before moving to Montana to live with his niece Lettie.

He loved traveling, hunting, baseball, basically any sports and sharing coffee with friends and fellow veterans.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Kym Judd of Cedar City; his sister-in-law, Pat Smith; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 29, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Heartlight Funeral Home in Cedar City. Bob will be honored with military rites and laid to rest at the National Cemetery at a later date.

The family expresses their gratitude to Three Peaks Assisted Living, Tammy Clark,Applegate Hospice, Kalista Olsen, and Sammie Olsen for their care and support.
