Robert Spring Obituary
Robert Spring, 88, of Pleasant Hill, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
Robert Nelson Spring was born on September 26, 1937, in North English, Iowa, to Robert Melvin and Josephine Angeline (Williamson) Spring.
Robert and Sharon Kay Swanson were married on October 7, 1968, in Dell City, Oklahoma. They were the parents of three daughters, Jackie, Michelle, and Kimberly.
He worked in the mattress manufacturing industry for Sealy Mattress Company and retired from there.
Robert loved classic cars, and at one time owned a '39 Chevy, which was his pride and joy.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Jackie (Jeff) Nelson, Michelle (Terry) Gilbert, and Kimberly (Larry) Gilbert; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Josephine Spring; brothers, Corles Spring and Jack Woods; sisters, Vera Cave and Mary Lou Davis; and his great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Doll.
Visitation will be Monday, January 12, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Adel Chapel, with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a future designation. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.caldwellparrish.com.
