Robert Springstroh Obituary
Robert Wayne Springstroh passed away on July 7, 2025 in Oswego, Illinois. He was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin on September 22, 1933 to Clarence and Esther Bernice (Beckett) Springstroh and grew up in Downers Gove, Illinois. He attended Downers Grove High school. He married the love of his life Oriene Morrow, or Renie as he called her, of Westmont in 1959. Robert served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Robert was employed by the U.S.
Robert leaves behind a loving family: his children, Kimberly S. Beavers of Aurora, Robert J. Springstroh (Veronica Gutierrez) of Sandwich and Barbara Springstroh (Susan Lutzen) of Ruther Glen, VA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Alyssa and Robert Beavers, Michael, Nicole, Kimberly and Kylie Springstroh, as well as Tony and Brandon Rivas; 4 great grandchildren, his brother, Russell (Joanne) Springstroh, many nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of friends, neighbors and former coworkers. He is preceded in death by his adored wife of 64 years, Oriene, and his brothers, Richard and Raymond Springstroh.
A celebration of Robert’s extraordinary life will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 with a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes and Crematory, 24021 Royal Worthington Drive, Naperville. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien, Illinois. Guests are encouraged to enjoy a scoop of ice cream in his honor. Here’s to Robert: mailman, ping-pong king, sun-worshipper and proof that joy can be delivered daily-with or without postage. In celebration of Bob Springstroh, I thank you for having the privilege to know you and Oriene many years. I remember the many times Karen, my wife, and I shared dinners with you and Oriene as we celebrated our marriages, both in the year 1959. Blessings to you and your family.
