Robert Francis Staicer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on January 16, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on August 17, 1950, in New York, Robert was a proud Vietnam veteran who served in the Army, embodying the values of duty and honor throughout his life.

Robert was the cherished son of Margaret and Frank Staicer. He is preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Patricia and Joann, who were always close to his heart. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Kathy, whom he married on January 30, 1982, in New York. Robert was a proud father to his daughters, Kristin (Matt) and Kim (Alan), and a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, William (Amber), Michael (Matea), Kiara, and Brianna. His legacy continues to live on through his great-grandchildren, Ella and Kingsley. He is also survived by his brother, Frank (Carmen), and sister, Eileen, who will miss him dearly.

Throughout his life, Robert was known as an anchor of his family. A strong defender of the Constitution, he was passionate about his beliefs, as evident from his social media presence. He had a long and successful career, with a particular fondness for home improvements, but his favorite job was running his bar, "The Oasis," where he created a welcoming environment for friends and patrons alike.

Robert was also a dedicated veteran advocate, tirelessly helping fellow veterans navigate their benefits. His love for family extended beyond his immediate relatives; he cherished the time spent with his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved dogs, Micky and Minnie. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees, sharing his enthusiasm for sports with family and friends.

A proud alumnus of Brooklyn Technical High School, Robert thrived in his studies and carried this love for learning throughout his life. His kindness, dependability, and caring nature made a significant impact on those around him; he was always there for others, providing support and guidance.

A celebration of Robert's life will take place on February 14th, 2:30-5:30, at the DAV, 4896 Kempsville Greens Pkwy, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the profound impact he had on their lives. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Disabled American Veterans organization at [https://help.dav.org](https://help.dav.org), a cause that was close to his heart.

Robert Francis Staicer will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support.
