Robert "Bobby" L. Stanton, 85, of Hackettstown, NJ (formerly of Budd Lake) passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025 at St. Clare's hospital in Denville, NJ.
Bobby was born on February 5, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Aloysius and Evelyn Stanton.
Bobby grew up in Palisades Park, NJ and was a graduate of Leonia High School class of 1957. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Regina Iametti in 1959. Bobby was of the Catholic faith and a parishioner of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church in Budd Lake. He was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan, and he loved watching MASH and NCIS on television. Bobby traveled Europe and the Philippines with his wife Regina. He was a retired member of the I. B. E. W Local #164. Above all, Bobby loved his family and dedicated his life to them. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years Regina Stanton, his loving children; Laura Stanton, Marc Stanton and his wife Wendy, Lisa Maltese and her husband Vincent and his cherished grandchildren; Christina and Amanda Stanton and Charles Nessel and his wife Emily.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 9:45-10:30 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 17 Mount Olive Road, Budd Lake, NJ 07828. A Memorial Mass will immediately follow the visitation at 10:30 AM in the church.
Donations may be made in Bobby's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105
