Robert Laski Staudinger

Robert Laski Staudinger, 86, of Hines, MN passed away at the Sanford Medical Hospital in Fargo, ND on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Tamarack, MN at a later date.
Robert was born on August 19, 1936 to Alfred and Hazel (Laski) Staudinger in Brocket, North Dakota. He grew up living in multiple locations in Minnesota and Michigan. He considered Squaw Lake, MN his home. He graduated from Blackduck High School in 1955 and entered the US Air Force. His Air Force career had him stationed in multiple locations in the US and abroad, which included Korea, Alaska, Michigan, Japan, and California. He married Constance Vesecky in Sioux Falls, SD on December 15, 1978. He worked for MN-DOT for 30 years, retiring in 1999. Robert enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, cooking, being outdoors, building his log cabin, and photography.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Cate (Jake) Mattakat of East Bethel, MN; a son, Bob Staudinger of Hines, MN; grandchildren, Jacob, Ella, and Olivia; and a brother, Bill Staudinger of Squaw Lake, MN; and cousins, nephews, a niece, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Hazel Staudinger; his wife, Connie Staudinger; a brother, Dick Staudinger; a sister, Judy Haider; and a son, David Scott.
