Robert "Bob" Steiner, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Born in Newark, NJ, Bob grew up in Elizabeth, NJ and later relocated to Oakhurst, NJ to raise his family.
Bob was a stockbroker who ran his office out of Point Pleasant, NJ. He referred to himself as an "investment gambler" but he was much more than that. Picking stocks and finding the right investments was in his DNA and he did that for his clients and friends for over 40 years.
Bob had several joys in life, whether it was playing golf or pool, a Texas hold 'em game, a trip to the Englishtown flea market or his love of making pizza. But his greatest joy in life spending time with his loving family and his dear friends. All will attest that Bob was a treasure and having him around made their day brighter.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lorraine; his son, David and his wife Jill; his son, Jeff and his wife Cari; and his grandchildren Julian, Kaylee, Celia and Louisa.
The family welcomes everyone for visitation at the Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road in Oakhurst, Ocean Township on Friday, April 12 from 9:30am-11:30am with interment to immediately follow. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.

My heart goes out to his wife Lorrie, their two sons David and Jeffrey, and the rest of the Steiner family. Though Bob was a client of mine for many years he was more than that. He was one of my closest friends and I too will miss him deeply. I will miss the lunches we shared together on a biweekly basis. I will miss his laid back sense of humor and the kindness and consideration he showed for everyone. He was there for me when I lost my wife and my brother. There are so many good things that I can say about him but I can´t think of anything bad to say. That´s the kind of person he was. He loved and enjoyed his family, especially his wife who was constantly there for him at all times, particularly during his illness. At least the pain he suffered over the last twenty plus months, is over. As the saying goes, he´s in a better, pain-free place now. Rest in peace, dear friend, rest in peace. It was a pleasure to know you and have you as a friend.
With deepest condolences,
John Skurat
