Robert Stewart

Mr. Robert Franklin "Bob" Stewart, age 91, of Rome, GA, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024. Mr. Stewart was born in Trion, GA, on April 7, 1933, a son of the late William Owen Stewart, Sr., and Mary Lee Jones Stewart. He lived the greater part of his life in Shannon, GA, and Rome and was a graduate of Model High School. Mr. Stewart was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ and was retired from General Electric Corporation. Mr. Stewart was an avid golfer and loved to square and round dance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Sandra Holland Stewart, brother William Stewart, and three sisters, Bettye Evans, Deborah Wycoff, and JoAnne Hartline. Mr. Stewart is survived by two daughters, Edith (Dan) Rice, and Anna (Don) Womack; two sisters, Yvonne Hitch, Rena Vines, as well as five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Church of Christ.
