Robert George Sulo

Robert George Sulo, 91 of Carteret, died on Friday, November 24, 2023. He was born and raised in Jersey City. Robert served in the Army for two years and was honorably discharged. He went on to work at Colgate-Palmolive in Jersey City for 35 years, while attending Seton Hall University at night. In 1960 he married his wife, Margaret T. Sulo and moved to Carteret. Robert was a parishioner of Holy Family Church, where he was a lector for several years and a member of their Holy Name Society, later becoming a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Carteret, where he was an usher. Robert loved going to Atlantic City, dining out and spending time with his family.

Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Paul Sulo; his wife, Margaret T. Sulo; brother, Gus Sulo and his wife Florence; and his nephew, Richard. Robert is survived by his loving children, Ann Marie Sulo, Eileen Pizzi and her husband, Jim, and Robert Sulo; his niece, Janet and his nephew, Peter and their families.

Funeral will be on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 starting at 10:00 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret with a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Joseph Church in Carteret. Interment will be at B.G. William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
