Robert was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He moved to Seattle in 1941. In 1968, he met the love of his life, that same year they got married. Robert and Sharon were married for 54 years, having achieved a wonderful life. Their motto was teamwork! If you work as a team, you can achieve anything. They were a great team and that was clearly evident.
Robert retired in 2001 after working 32 years at Kenworth on East Marginal Way. He was affectionately known by the name "The Big Dipper" at his job and this was a direct reflection to how well he was known at work -Which he loved.
As a retiree, Robert and Sharon took a few trips while helping to rear their 5+3 grandchildren. He enjoyed life and all of his family. Any one that knew him, knew that he loved airplanes and would light up about the thought of a pending plane ride, or being at an air show.
Robert passed surrounded by his loved ones and his heart, our mom, who refused to leave his bedside, making sure to not miss a minute of their last moments together.
It goes without saying that he will be missed because he is already missed so much.
Robert now gets to rest and enjoy eternity with those who went before him.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, 5 grandchildren and his great grandson; we all adored him and will miss him for eternity!
Masks and hand sanitizers will be provided. Masking is highly recommended.
