Robert George Tomasek
April 8, 1929 - January 9, 2024
Robert G Tomasek, 94, passed away peacefully in his home with his daughter, Chris (Bill Wascisin) and his son, Tom beside him. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the United States Army for over 20 years. Robert was an amazing bowler in his younger years and received many trophies for his efforts, including one for bowling a perfect 300 in a championship match. He also enjoyed playing golf and attending Tacoma minor league baseball games with his family. He was married for 59 years to the love of his life, Joan, who he met on a blind date in Tacoma and is now reunited with her in Heaven. Robert always loved to joke around and brought joy to those who knew him. In addition to his two children, he is survived by his sister Renee Wyrobek and brother Fritz Tomasek who live in Illinois, Two grandchildren Katie Wascisin and Brian Wascisin (Alyssa), and six great grandchildren Leif, Cole, Henrik, Rose, Wyatt, and Amelia as well as his beloved cat Miss Kitty. Robert will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 30, 2024 at 11:30am; the Rosary will be recited prior to Mass at 11:00am. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
