Obituary of Robert C Tremper
Robert C. Tremper, age 82 passed away on January 3, 2022. He was born on May 8, 1939 in Teaneck, NJ, the beloved son of Mary and Elmer Tremper and dear brother to Therese Vacha.
On October 18, 1969, Robert married Patricia Sheehan at Corpus Christi Church in Hasbrouck Heights. Robert and Patricia were married 51 years, they lived a wonderful life together in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
Robert was a loving father to his daughter Catherine and son-in-law John Grube, and an amazing "Gramps" to his three grandsons Jack, Sam, and Charlie.
Robert was a great man. He was always happy to volunteer and help people. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Georgia. Robert and Patricia enjoyed supporting Drum Corps. They would travel to Drum Corps competitions together with wonderful friends and have so much fun. Robert loved antique cars and would enjoy cruising with "his bride- Charlie" (his nick name for Patricia). Robert and Patricia also loved going on cruises, and visited many wonderful places together.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia (Charlie) and his parents Mary (or as Robert called his mom Sweets) and Elmer. He is survived by his daughter Catherine, son-in-law John, grandsons Jack, Sam and Charlie, sister Therese Vacha, brother-in-law Melvin Vacha, nephew Edward Vacha and nieces Colleen Tuescher and Niki Tracy.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation is Wednesday evening January 5th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street, Montclair, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 6th, at 10:00 am at St. Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Avenue, Upper Montclair. Interment will be held immediately following the mass at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 712 Grove St., Upper Montclair, NJ.
