Robert "Bob" Tuttle, age 89, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester, MN surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Nekoosa Community Center, 416 Crestview Lane, Nekoosa, WI. The family will have a special tribute to Bob starting at 6:30 pm.
Bob was born on May 30, 1933, to Earl and Florence Tuttle in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He grew up in Rome, Wisconsin and was the youngest of three children. He married the love of his life, Dotti, on May 30, 1975. They were married for 22 years at the time of her passing and had three beautiful children: Mark, Mary, and Becky.
Bob served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. He was a proud Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Post Office for 31 years and enjoyed bringing the mail to all the families on his route. He retired in 1989 and was able to enjoy hunting, fishing, wood carving, playing drums, drawing, and spending time with his family. His love of hunting was passed on to his son and grandson.
He played the drums in multiple different polka bands for 66 years. At every gig, he loved it the most when someone would sit in on the drums for one song so he could dance with Dotti.
Bob was also very involved with his community as a member of the Nekoosa Lions Club.
Bob is survived by three children, Mark (Tiffany) Tuttle, Mary (Jeff) Jensen and Becky (Kevin) Holmes. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Jerod Jensen, Tommy Jensen, Lauren Jensen, Tarek Tuttle (fiancée Alexa Coombs), Sage Tuttle (fiancée Grace Crowns), Orion Holmes and Xavier Holmes. As well as one great grandchild, Crue Tuttle. Bob will be missed by Rex, a beloved fury friend who always brought a smile to his face.
Bob is further survived by many loving family members from the Tuttle Family and Becker Family.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dotti, parents Earl and Florence Tuttle, brother Len Tuttle, and sister Ceil Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Memory of Bob Tuttle to the Nekoosa High School Athletic Program, 600 Section Street, Nekoosa, WI 54457. Bob grew up playing sports in Nekoosa and was the biggest fan of watching his children and grandchildren play sports as well.
The family would also like to thank all of the wonderful staff at the Seasons Hospice House. Donations could also be made in Memory of Bob Tuttle to Seasons Hospice House, 5650 Weatherhill Road SW, Rochester, MN 55902.
