Robert J. Wagner

Robert J Wagner was born on a dairy farm in NW PA on May 27, 1945. Robert started life full on. At the young age of 17, he lost a wife in childbirth and gained a new born son. Robert was a hard worker who took to farming and working in the coal field as a heavy equipment operator. Eventually, he found his passion for truck driving. In 1982 he met the love of his life, Betty. Over the next 40 years they created a life together, their business, R&B trucking, and eventually spent 11 years traveling the country in a motorhome. In 2011 while traveling they had the opportunity to meet his daughter from a previous marriage. Robert was a very generous and very positive person who never gave up. He was always looking for the most exciting things in life. He enjoyed volunteering his time at church and was active in video ministry for many years. On April 22, 2023, Robert lost the love of his life. Unfortunately due to age, Parkinson's disease, and losing the love of his life, he retired his body to be with her in heaven on October 9, 2023. Godspeed, Robert (dad, grandpa, papa) and bless all who remain here on earth.
He is preceded in death by his wife Betty, mother, Carolyn Crissman Wagner, father, John Fred Wagner and sister, Shirley Shirey.
He is survived by his son, Larry Robert (Kathy) Wagner and daughter, Danielle (Marc) LeFevre, grandchildren, Dylan Wagner, Lee (Jamie) Wagner, Christy (Brian) Cops, Zach Espinosa, Jonathan LeFevre, Justin LeFevre, and Charlotte LeFevre, and great-grandchildren Cade and Trent Cops, Gabriel and Christian Wagner, and Kinley Wagner.
A celebration of Robert's life will be at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19th at 10 AM.
Honorary Pallbearers are the doctors, nurses, social workers, and chaplains of Arkansas Hospice for caring for us all.
