Robert E. Warne

Robert "Rob" E. Warne, 52, of Dundee passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

Born in Massillon on December 27, 1973, he was the son of the late Charles Warne and Mary (Tenley) Hoagland. He was a 1992 graduate of Jackson High School and married the former Heather Burg on October 30, 2010. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2025.

Robert served in the U.S. Army as part of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, and worked for the Edward C. Levy Company as a crane operator. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, collecting vintage weaponry and armor, loved all animals, and was a member of the BARI motorcycle group. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his mother and step-father Mary (Bob) Hoagland, his children Dakota "Cody" (Kelsey) Warne, Christopher (Olivia) Warne, and Danielle (Roger) Felton; sister Lisa (John) Smith, brother Chuck (Cindy) Warne; father and mother-in-law Dan and Rose Burg; several grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

In addition to his wife Heather, he is preceded in death by his grandparents; father; and son Zach Warne.

A graveside service will be held at Ragersville Cemetery on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service for Robert will be held at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Rob Whitman officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the memorial service.
