Robert B. Wassell

Robert B. "Earth Walker" Wassell, 43, of Carver, MA and formerly of Bourne, MA and Mashpee, MA, died unexpectedly on June 29, 2025, in Boston, MA.
Robert was born on December 24, 1982, in Plymouth, MA. He was raised in, and attended high school in Bourne, MA. Robert was a proud member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Following his schooling, Robert went on to have a career as a commercial fisherman for many years. Following his time working at sea, Robert started a new professional venture and owned and operated his own fencing company, Tribal Fencing for the last 6 years.
Robert loved all things nature, and the sea was truly his first love. He enjoyed fishing (even when he wasn't working), hunting, and camping. He was also an avid hiker and had a trip planned to hike the White Mountains with his best friend that he was really looking forward to. He enjoyed travelling, and also loved watching movies. More than anything, Robert enjoyed having fun times with his family, and friends, and being a father. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Robert is survived by his partner of 7 years, Marlene Parkinson, of Carver, MA; his children, Anna Hope Pancoast, and her partner Sethinus Loucious Pancoast, of Hyannis, MA, Analaura Wassell, of Ellettsville, IN, Ashawna Miller, of Carver, MA, Philip Wassell, of Ellettsville, IN, Alexander Wassell, of Ellettsville, IN, Arianna Bott, of Carver, MA, and Tieesha Wassell, of Carver, MA; his granddaughter Etel Sophia Grace Pancoast, of Hyannis, MA; his mother Linda A. Wassell, and her husband Donald R. Barry, of Mashpee, MA; his father Barry Robert Wassell, of Pocasset, MA; his brother Timothy Alcott Wassell, and his wife Paige Wassell, of Sandwich, MA; his nephew Logan Wassell, of Sandwich, MA; his former wife and mother of his children, Michelle Wassell, of Ellettsville, IN; his very best friends, Marcus Hendricks, of Mashpee, MA, and Rob Chase, of Marstons Mills, MA; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alcott and Christine Tobey, and Bertha and Robert Wassell.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Weary Travelers Club, 77 Valley Bars Rd., Monument Beach, MA 02553.
