Robert O'Neal Wells Sr.

Robert (Bobby) O'neal Wells, 78 of Lake Washington passed away January 6, 2026, at home.
Bobby was born January 27, 1947, in Haleyville, Alabama to Raymond and Beulah Wells.
He met Sue Aderholt Wells when he was 17. She immediately fell in love with his curly hair, and he married her and proceeded to spoil her for the next 59 years. ​
They had 2 children of their own, Robert (Robby) O'neal Wells Jr and Amanda Blasingame. However, I'm sure their neighbors were convinced they had many more because there was always a crew of children from the family and neighborhood hanging around. He was always available with love and advice to everyone.
He was also the father, grandfather, brother, uncle and neighbor everyone wants. He was always available to lend a helping hand or mow your lawn with no charge of course. He was a fixer of all things, no job too big or too small.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Beulah Wells, 1 brother Billy Wells, 3 sisters Martha Chapman, Pat Blackwell and Mary LeMay.
Bobby is survived by his wife Sue Wells, Son - Robby Wells (Tracy) of Greenville, Ms, Daughter- Amanda Blasingame (Jeff) of Avon, MS, Granddaughter Tori Clark (Brandon) of Lake Village, AR, Grandson- Eric Blasingame (Abby) of Benton, MS, Granddaughter Katie Harwood (Jonathan) of Batesville, MS, Grandson Ethan Blasingame of Avon, MS, great grandsonsNolan Clark and Logan Clark of Lake Village, AR, sister Peggy Scharmer of Brandon, MS. And a great number of nieces, nephews and family members that loved him greatly
Visitation will be held on Friday January 9, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mortimer Funeral Home in Greenville. Graveside service will be Saturday January 10, 2026 at 10 A.M., at Greenfield Cemetery at Glen Allan, MS
Pallbearers will be Chris Lucas, Chris Jones, Ray LeMay, Greg Wells, Patrick Neese, Eric Blasingame, and Dwane Wells as honorary.
