Robert Welton Obituary

Robert Breen Welton peacefully left this earth to meet his Lord and Savior on August 15, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Smithwick Welton and Marian Breen Welton; his wife of 64 years, Mary Welton; his daughter, Megan Welton; his sister, Nancy West; and his son-in-law, James Moore. He is survived by his children, Lori Price (Bill), Cheryl Schlitt (David), and Kathryn Moore (A.J. Anderson); his grandchildren, David Schlitt Jr. (Melissa), Megan Schlitt Ridner (Andrew), Robert Moore, Julia Moore, and Brian Moore; his great-grandchildren, Evelyn Ridner, Sabrina Schlitt, and Thea Ridner; siblings, Karen Gentile (Don), and Margaret "Peggy" Thompson; brother-in-law, Don West. Bob will always be remembered for his professionalism, his warm smile, his compassion for life, and his strong Catholic faith. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, or sibling, and will miss Bob every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 21, 2025, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
In leu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, 1215 N. Stratford Ln., Wichita, KS 67206.

Bob was a loyal colleague, fantastic mentor and great friend. He was always there as a business associate and friend to use his expertise and talents to resolve any situation that challenged us. As a friend, Bob & Mary selflessly helped our family through the many assignments and required physical moves we made during our time together. Bob and Mary will be dearly missed by us and our Family.
