Robert (Bobby) Clay Wilson passed away at 62 on Thursday, October 27, 2022 in Independence, MO. He was born on February 12, 1960 in Columbia, MO. He is survived by sister Kathie LeRose; brother Jerry Wison; nieces Megan LeRose and Brooke Wilson; nephews Adam Robinett and Jeremy Stockton; and many other friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Doris (Miles) Wilson and sister Marsha Stockton.
Bobby found fulfillment working with his hands and worked various construction and handyman jobs throughout his life. He was the go to guy in his circle of friends and family if anyone needed a renovation in their home or a repair on their car.
Bobby's favorite movie was James Deans' "Rebel Without A Cause" and that's the way Bobby liked to live. He was full of life, mischievous, and adventurous. Bobby saw the good in all people. He was eager to help anyone whether it meant teaching them how to hotwire a car or literally offering his shirt off his back if they needed it more than he did.
Bobby loved animals and nature. He enjoyed going camping and especially enjoyed the mountains in Colorado. He was known to ride his horse to the bank instead of driving a car, and he always had a dog companion. While his handyman work was varied, his choice in dog names were not. Most of them were named Pete, but the special ones were named Dawg and Maxi.
Bobby's favorite song was Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow" and now that's where Bobby gets to rest.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
