Robert Scott Wilson, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, after a brief illness. A native of Australia, Scott came to America with his family at a young age and grew up in Ridgecrest, California. He attended the University of California, Davis, where he was a talented NCAA breaststroke swimmer. He went on to the Washington and Lee College of Law in Virginia, where he made his connections to Chattanooga, where he would come to make his home and career. As an attorney, Scott worked for Dale L. Buchanan & Associates, then for many years at Eric Buchanan & Associates, before forming his own firm. He was one of the most talented Social Security and ERISA attorneys in the country, and will be greatly missed by his many friends in Chattanooga, and his family.

He is survived by his parents, William and Kay Wilson, of Adelaide, Australia, his brother, Haydn Wilson, of Berkeley, California, and his fiancée, Desiree Shell, of Cleveland, Tennessee.

The family encourages guests to Scott's memorial at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Turner Funeral Home.
