Robert Lowry Wolfe, 78, passed away Thursday July 17, 2025, at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. He was born on August 13, 1946, in Logan, Ohio, to the late Ivan and Betty Lowery Wolfe.
Growing up in Athens, Ohio, he was part of the graduating class of 1964 at Athens High School. He was a US Navy Veteran and served during Vietnam. Upon returning from active duty, he spent most of his time serving the southeast Ohio community as an emergency paramedic with the Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Services (SEOMS, now known as ACEMS). He also served on the Athens County Sheriff's Department. He had a passion for good music and could sit down and play almost any instrument. He also enjoyed time out in the woods hunting or on the water fishing.
Robert is survived by his wife Bonnie Lyn Mineard Wolfe. This couple has been inseparable since getting married July 25, 1971. Sadly, Bonnie has had her own health related issues and was moved to a nursing home herself earlier this year. Robert for sure had felt heart broken as they did everything together when possible.
He is also survived by one son, Alan Wolfe; sister-in-law, Becky Bailey; niece Tracy Payne Junker; nephew, Steve Bailey, Jr.; and niece, Heidi Bailey; along with many extended family members.
Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Payne Mathews and parents Ivan and Betty Wolfe.
