Robert Irwin Wolff, 89, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at Delray Medical
Center, the evening of April 14, 2025.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Milton and Sylvia Wolff, on March 4, 1936, Bobby grew up in
Brookline, Massachusetts. After graduating Brookline High School, Bobby enlisted in the
United States Army where he served as a proud member of the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii.
After returning state-side, Bobby met and married the love of his life, Norma Eileen Polikoff.
The newly-married couple soon moved to Florida where Bobby pursued a career in
merchandising and sales. They began a family and developed a wonderful network of friends in
the Miami area. Bobby eventually retired and moved to Boynton Beach where the list of friends
grew even greater. Married 67 years, Bobby and Norma shared a full, fun, and fulfilling life
together with family and many, many friends.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Norma Eileen Wolff; his children David Eric Wolff and Meredith
Joy (James) Mann; his beloved grandchildren Kimberly Strauf, Marsha Beth Wolff, Madilyn
Sarah Greene, Leah Elizabeth Mann, and Aubrey Sophia Mann; and his sister Lynn (Michael)
Caroline and his sisters-in-law Sandra McNeil and Avis (Bob) Garnet and their families.
Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, Bobby was a well-loved husband, father,
grandfather, and friend. To his wife, he was a loving and devoted husband, and he was ever so
proud to have Norma by his side. To his children, he was an engaged father who took the time
to make meaningful memories. To his grandchildren, he was the best grandpa on the planet,
always willing to lend an ear, have an adventure, read a book, watch a movie, or share his love
of music, movies, and current events. He always took time to appreciate their interests and
make real connections. Even at 89, he would text and forward them pertinent articles and
media to stay connected. To his friends, including the old "Fun Club" of Kendall, Bobby was
the life of the party -- always ready with a joke or available for a deep conversation about
religion, the cosmos, or the state of the world.
An avid sports fan, Bobby loved the Miami Dolphins, the University of Miami Hurricanes, and
any college sports team to which he had a connection. He was always up to date on the latest
news and rankings and, not surprisingly, used that as a way to stay connected to more friends
and family. He was a man who sought connection -- using whatever topic of conversation was
at hand, from sports, to politics, to religion, to find a reason to speak with people and learn a
little bit about their story. Oftentimes, amazingly, even random conversations with strangers
resulted in learning about strange coincidences of connectedness. It was never easy leaving a
restaurant, but it was sure fun learning the details he discovered.
Kind, thoughtful, approachable, and sincere, Bobby was a blessing to all who knew him. His
presence on this earth will be sorely missed. He was a man well-loved and his memory will be
cherished by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will take place at 11:30am, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Sinai Memorial
Chapel, 15120 Jog Road, Delray Beach, Florida. Bobby will be interred at the National
Cemetery of South Florida immediately after the service. Family and friends will sit Shiva at
Norma and Bobby's home Tuesday, April 22, and Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Just learned of Bobby's passing, and I send my loving thoughts to Cousin Norma and family. I have a particular special memory of Bobby, who thrilled me by choosing me as his dancing partner at a family party, when I was a shy 8- or 9-year-old.

Bobby and Norma were our 1st close friends when we movie to Miami in October 1969, and have remained an important part of our lives ever since. We shared very many milestones, (or just great visits), with themall these years, both in Miami and Newton, Ma.
Bobby had a wonderful sense of humor, was always fun to be with, and had a great love for David, Meri, all the grandchildren, and especially for Norma - for the 60+ years years they were together.
He will be greatly missed by his family, and all the friends who shared his life. Rest in peace Bobby.
Love, Lynda and Rich Snider
