Robert C.K. Wong

Robert C.K. Wong, age 71, of Wyckoff died the morning of Tuesday, February 8, 2022 surrounded by his family. After a weekend of snow and clouds, the sky cleared that day to fill the room with a warm light.
Robert was born and raised in Hong Kong, graduated from the King George V School, and immigrated to the United States with his wife and first child in 1977. His first stop was New York City before moving to northern New Jersey. Robert spent his career in the international air freight industry, beginning with Pan Am Airlines until he ultimately founded his own freight forwarding company. He was a member of Bergen Christian Testimony Church in Wyckoff, and devoted himself to serving the church's youth ministry and to organizing community service activities. He was also a lifelong supporter of the Scouting movement and the Boy Scouts of America. He loved his family dearly and doted tenderly on his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Grace, and his three children and their families: Kathy; Elizabeth, her husband Kirby, and granddaughters Isabel (8) and Olivia (5); and Alex, his wife Candice, grandson Chase (5), and granddaughter Avery (2).
The family will hold a memorial service with family and friends on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
