Robert Lynn Woodman, or lovingly know as "Woody", born on June 1, 1959, in Dallas, Texas to Robert Earl Woodman and Janet Horne Woodman, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Point, Texas, leaving behind a legacy as vibrant as his personality. A loving father, grandfather, and friend, Woody enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Woody was not just a businessman, having owned the Bargain Barn in Terrell, Texas, but he was also a dedicated landlord in his later years. However, it was his devotion to his family that truly defined him. He never missed a sporting event for his children, always present to cheer them on. His weekends were often spent by the water, where he never hesitated to take his kids fishing, often encouraging them to nap in the live well so he could get a few more cast in. He had a very distinguishable laugh that was both contagious and memorable, Woody turned simple moments into cherished memories.

Woody's proudest accomplishments were his children, and his grandchildren, each holding their own unique memories of time spent with him. He leaves behind countless stories and experiences that will forever live in the hearts of those he loved.

Family gatherings were a focal point of Woody's life, particularly the annual fish frys at his grandparents' house, where laughter and storytelling thrived. He had a unique flair for creating special moments; a testament to this was the beloved "$100 fish competition" he initiated when visiting Broken Bow with his children. This playful contest, where the individual who caught the sought-after, golden fish was awarded bragging rights, perfectly capturing Woody's ability to mix fun with familial bonding.

Woody was known for his wit and his big personality, lighting up every room he entered. His kindness resonated with everyone around him, and his ability to make every encounter feel special is something many will remember fondly. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: fishing, hunting, and sharing his days with his beloved dog, Rita.

He is survived by his children, Ethan Woodman, Savanna Woodman and Fiancé Brad Ezell, Amelia Woodman and Matt Hunt; mother, Janet Woodman; grandchildren, Eli Woodman, Clara Pearl, Emma Hunt, Levi Ezell, Braxton Ezell; sister, Penny Woodman; Aunt Sonya,  Aunt Margo and Uncle Wayne, Uncle Jim Horne and Niece Nicole Boan.

Woody is preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Woodman; stepfather, Tommy Vaughn; grandparents, Pat and Edna Horne, Albert Woodman and Grace Manning.

Services for Woody will be at Sweet Water Grill 4884 SH 276 Royce City, Texas 75189.
