Wilbur James "Sonny" Woodman Jr., aged 94, of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Northbridge, MA, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 21, 1931, in Bellingham, Wilbur was known for his kind heart, spirited laughter, and the joy he brought to others.

Wilbur led a fulfilling career with General Motors, where he started as an assembler and, through dedication and a keen eye for detail, advanced to the role of inspector. His colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and wit, who could always be counted on for support and guidance. Wilbur's professional life was marked by the same commitment and passion he put into every aspect of his existence.

A family man at his core, Wilbur's greatest pride was his children and their families. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Lanagan (Joseph O'Brien) of Beverly, MA, his son, Steven Woodman Sr. (Diane) of Leicester, MA and his step-son Michael McDermott of Norton. His sister, Shirley Phipps of Mendon, MA, will also hold dear the memory of her brother's unwavering love and support. Wilbur's legacy continues through his seven grandchildren, Kailee Murphy, Mark Lanagan, Steven Woodman Jr., Michael Woodman, Michelle Fleck, Nathan Taupez, and Lera Scinto, and his seventeen great-grandchildren, who will miss their "Grandpa Bumpa" greatly, a Niece Diane Accica, His close companion of forty-nine years, Kathleen Kelley, will cherish the countless memories they made together. Wilbur was predeceased by his Daughter, Victoria Harms, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

Wilbur's zest for life was evident in his hobbies. He was an avid camper, often found sharing stories around a campfire under the stars. His love for fishing led to many peaceful days by the water, a pastime he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren. Motorcycle rides on sunny days were Wilbur's definition of freedom and adventure. A true New Englander, Wilbur never missed a chance to scour yard sales for treasures and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Calling Hours will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 am at the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress Street, Milford, to be followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Mechanic Street, Bellingham.
