Robert James "RJ" Woods, 53, of Bedias, Texas passed away on March 17, 2025, in College Station, Texas. He was born on April 16, 1971, to Ronald J. Myers and Jacalyne Mary Morth in New London, Connecticut.
RJ was a long-time employee of Ryder, a volunteer fire fighter, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved family, fishing, Port A, John Deere, dancing, music, poker games, jokes, and anything to do with food. RJ was just a big kid who loved life. He was a strong force but had the softest of hearts. He will be dearly missed.
RJ was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; parents, Ronald J. Myers and Jacalyne Woods; and son, Derek Woods.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Snowball-Woods; children, Dylan and Chelsi Woods, Jerryd, Justyn, and Jerrimy Wilkerson, Brian Caballero, and Kristin and Bryce Trujillo; grandchildren, Kymber Dawn Rain Wilkerson, coming soon, Allison Rose Woods, and numerous other grandchildren; sister, Melissa Gray; and numerous extended family.
A funeral service for RJ will be 3 P.M., Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Kris Kelso will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Singleton Cemetery.
