Robert H. “Bob” Work, 82, of Bedford, died on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at his residence. He was born on July 30, 1943 in Lancaster, a son of the late Harold and Earline (Howard) Work. On November 16, 1984 in Chestnut Ridge, he married Linda (Hite) Work and she survives along with a son: Bob Work and wife Emily of Strasburg; a daughter: Pamela Turek widow of Paul of Drumore; four grandchildren: Shane, Jessica, Tasha, and Alicia; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Letterman, and a nephew, Jeffrey Letterman.
Bob worked as a maintenance technician at Bedford Ford, retiring after 39 years. He enjoyed antique cars, mowing the grass, and loved going to the farm.
Per Bob’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
