Ronald W. Allison, 68, of Altoona, formerly of Bedford, died on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at UPMC Altoona. He was born on October 4, 1957 in Bedford, a son of the late Wayne K. and Shirley Kay (Claar) Allison. He is survived by a daughter: Misty Allison and fiancé Anthony Jefferson of Altoona; two grandchildren: Hannah and Kinley; three brothers: Sidney Allison and wife Belinda of Everett, Dave Hand and wife Kim of Dallas, GA, and Brent Allison of Alum Bank; and two sisters: Joyce Hillegass and husband Barry of Bedford, and Patricia Kay Durnal of Fishertown.
Ronald was a 1975 graduate of Bedford High School. He worked at various places that included Skat Gas Station’s, Ed’s Steak House, Hedstrom for many years, and finally driving truck for many different companies. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, had a passion for shooting pool, bowling in leagues, and spending time with his daughter, granddaughters, and siblings. He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post # 113 and the Hollidaysburg American Legion Post # 516.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Burial will be private at St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
