Roberta N. Anderson

N. Roberta Anderson, age 84 of Clayton, DE returned to her Lord on August 13, 2025 at the Evergreen Rehab and Nursing Facility in Smyrna, DE.

She was born and raised in Wilmington, DE and is the daughter of the late Margaret (Moore), Edgar Rawlings and her adopted father Floyd Kelly. Roberta graduated from Wilmington High School.

She held various secretary positions with most notable with the Union County, PA and the Farmers Home Administration (FHA).

Roberta enjoyed sewing, card making, counted cross stitch, latch hook, knitting, reading books; where she would read multiple books in a week, baking, gardening and jewelry making.

Her faith in her Lord was very strong where she was a member of the Church of Lincoln Methodist Church and Milford Church of God. Just as important was her family that will miss her dearly.

Her husband of 52 years, Rev. Robert C. Anderson died in 2012. Roberta leaves behind two children, Susan Housley and Stephen K. Anderson and his wife Charlene Anderson, 5 grandchildren, multiple step grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 21 from 4:00 pm - 6:00pm at Milford Church of God, 500 North Walnut St., Milford, DE 19963 where a funeral service will follow at 6:00pm. Burial will be privately.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to "Poverty Project" c/o International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, 303 East Wacker Dr., Suite 2300, Chicago, IL 60601.
