Roberta Ardith Carlson

Roberta Ardith "Bobbi" Carlson, 82, of Peoria, formerly of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1942 in Rockford to Robert and Phyllis M. (Bender) Senger, raised by Phyllis and (Stepfather) Harry Risley. Bobbi was a graduate of Rockford East High School. She married Leslie "Les" Carlson on April 28th, 1961 in Rockford, IL. He predeceased her on February 11, 2023. She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church before moving to Peoria. She also was a member of The Harmony Club and The Lombardi Club. She volunteered at Swedish American Hospital and was very involved in Rockford East High School, Class of 1960 Reunion Committee. Bobbi was a devoted wife, very proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had many friends and never went anywhere without making a new one. She loved to dance and could make a party out of any event.
Bobbi is survived by her children, Kelly (Bruce) Mehl of Peoria, IL, Todd (Nancy) Carlson of Kelly, WY, and Melissa Carlson of Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Lindsey (Nick) Bright of Naples, FL, Lauren (Margo) Torres of Tampa, FL, Abbey (Phil) Mathis of Peoria, IL, Bryce Carlson of Moose WY, Anja and Anders Carlson of Jackson, WY; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Henry Bright, Luisa Torres, and Mila and Jude Mathis. She was also predeceased by her sister, Harriet Baxter. The family would like to thank Grand View Alzheimer's Special Care Center and Visiting Angels for their loving care.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm. on Monday, March 3, 2025, with visitation from 12:00pm. to 12:45pm. at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Avenue, Rockford, IL. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park following the service. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
