She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Leona Smith and Robert Taylor; daughter, Rosalyn Thompson; grandsons, Gary Simpson and Christian Wells and her only brother, Leon Taylor.
She is survived by her children, Darlene Simpson, Gina McDaniel-Johnson (Charles), Vanita Massey (Charles), Dana Price (Richard), Calvonne Spaulding (Ricky), and Calvin "Jay" Curry, Jr., (Sherry); grandchildren, Staci Brown (Terry), Robbie Prince (Timothy), Montez Simpson (Reesa), Dante Simpson (Chandrae), Ja'Que Simpson, Paul Thompson, Jr., Sean Thompson (Gabriale), Tiffany Thompson, Eugena Wells, Tenika Williams (Kevin), Tenay Lee, Talya Lee, Robert Pinkston, Jr., and Taylor Price; (bonus) granddaughter in love, Nichole St. Germaine, and a host of great and great great grandchildren, family and friends.
Visitation: 9am-10:30am Saturday, November 1, 2025, at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 South 34th Street, funeral service to follow at 10:30am, burial in Calvary Cemetery.
