Roberta Rucker Doyle passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 91. She was under the care of Regency Hospice at East Georgia Regional Hospital. She was born in St Matthews,

South Carolina to Flaxie Rast Rucker and Charlie Rucker on February 14, 1934. She was blessed to be number 4 in the line of eight children.

She married Terry Doyle in 1966 and had two daughters, Mandy and Pam. In 1979, she and her family moved to Statesboro where she opened a home daycare and became known as Doy Doy to many families. She was able to love on families until she needed to be a full time caregiver for her husband. She is known by her family and friends for her love of the Lord and her caring and loving nature.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Terry Doyle, her parents, and her siblings Ollie Mae Synder, Aline Rhame, Doug Rucker and Charlie Rucker.

She is survived by her daughters Mandy Carroll (Chris), and Pam Brannen (Edmund), her sisters Peggy Garvin, Lucille Harman and Viola Kirvin, her grandchildren John Carroll (Mary),

Katy Brague (Matthew), Anabelle Brannen (fiancé Owen Furr), Lela Brannen and many loved nieces and nephews.

The Family will receive visitors Saturday, January 10th, from 12:30pm until 2:00pm, at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro, GA. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Bulloch Memorial Gardens Statesboro, GA.
