With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Roberta Mae (Mosier) Martin, 82 years young, of Enosburg, who was taken from us too soon in July of 2024.
She was born on February 27, 1942 to the late Glen Mosier, Sr and Pearl (Elliott) Mosier in Catskill, NY and grew up in Jeffersonville, VT on their family farm.
She is predeceased by her husband Allen Clifton Martin (Bud Corse) "the love of her life" for 60 years.
Survived by her children Phyllis Gratton of Essex, VT, Priscilla Hammond and her husband Randy of Burlington VT, (late) Gary Martin of Barre, VT, Pam Harris and her husband Scott of Bartow, FL, and extended family.
Sister to the late Glen Mosier, Jr., Charles Mosier, Sandra Bushey and leaves siblings Rose Lamoureux, Janice Gratton and Barbara Corse. She also leaves her Florida, Texas and Carolina's extended families where she spent her last 5 winters, enjoying the milder temperatures.
Roberta and Bud made their home in Waterbury Center where they raised their 4 children. She was an avid gardener, her flower beds flourished and showed her labor of love. Buds green thumb in their vegetable garden produced lots of veggies for her to freeze and can.
Roberta worked as a nurses-aid for several years at the Berlin Convalescent home and later did private duty. She had a servants heart and volunteered often, carpool Mom to her children's sporting events, volunteered at the WC Grange Hall, member of the Waterbury Center Methodist church. Anyone that knew her, felt her innocence, kind heartedness and gentle soul. Helping thy neighbor came easily to Roberta and her thoughtfulness showed in the little things she did for others.
She opened her home and cared for her father when he was terminal, helped with her brother Charles and nursed him back to health after having bypass surgery, sat with family during illnesses.
In their retirement, they moved to Enosburg where they resided for 24 years. She cared for Bud as he progressed with Alzheimer's until his final breath. She did this effortlessly, with love and was such a blessing to many. She brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her radiant smile, loved unconditionally with pure gentleness. We will forever miss our precious sweet Mom but know in our hearts she's in her final resting with our Dad.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Roberta's memory to New England K9 Search and Rescue (NEK9), P.O. BOX 407, Grantham, NH 03753 https://nek9sar.org/. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Please visit awrfh.com to share your memories and condolences.
